Position Summary
Cosumnes River College (CRC) is seeking a full-time, tenure track
faculty member in the Ford ASSET Automotive Mechanics Technology
Program. The program is an ASE Education Foundation certified
program with special requirements for faculty. If you have passion

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced ASE Certified
Automotive Technology Professor to help prepare our students for
life-changing careers. We value the ability to serve students from

The faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching
assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean; helping
students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course
content by developing and using effective teaching strategies that
meet students' diverse needs and engage the student in critical
thinking and problem-solving; assessing student learning outcomes;
maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in their regular
teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing
current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining
standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the
professional position; plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom
instruction in lecture and/or laboratory formats based on the
approved curricula; assist in the resolution of student issues when
required, assisting with articulation and curriculum development
and review; serving on college committees and participating in
faculty governance including accreditation and student
co-curricular activities; assist the department with outreach and
recruitment efforts for the program, assuming other
responsibilities as assigned by the area dean; fulfilling other
duties and responsibilities of a full-time faculty member.

Position Salary Information:
Initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree,
upper/graduate level units earned, and/or related professional
occupational experience per the (the initial maximum placement is

Typical Duties
The instructional assignment may include, but is not limited to,
teaching courses in hybrid and electrical vehicle repairs and
maintenance, smog check and repairs, and all levels of courses in
the Ford ASSET and Traditional Automotive Mechanics Technology
