The RMA (Return Material Authorization) Coordinator is responsible
for managing the return and repair process of printed circuit board
assemblies (PCBAs), Cable Harnesses, and Electro-Mechanical
Assemblies for our contract manufacturing operations. This role
ensures efficient processing of customer returns, maintains
accurate records, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to
resolve issues and improve customer experience.
Responsibilities
RMA Processing: Receive, evaluate, and process return material
authorization (RMA) requests from customers.
Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for
customers regarding RMAs, providing updates and resolutions in a
timely manner.
Quoting: Prepare budgetary and final quotes for services and
repairs performed on RMA's, coordinating PO approval with the
customer.
Data Management: Maintain detailed records of returned products,
repair activities, and final resolutions in the company's ERP/MRP
system.
Inventory Control: Ensure returned products are properly logged,
stored, and dispositioned, preventing discrepancies in
inventory.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, program
managers, production, quality, and purchasing teams to expedite
repairs, replacements, and credit processing as needed.
Reporting & Documentation: Generate RMA reports, analyze trends,
and recommend process improvements to minimize returns and enhance
customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the RMA process
and suggest improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
