Adaptable to any vehicle architecture, Sibros' platform meets stringent safety, security, and compliance standards, propelling OEMs to innovate new connected vehicle use cases across fleet management, predictive maintenance, data monetization, and beyond.Our mission is to help our customers get the most value out of their connected devices.Job Title : Tech Lead, Embedded SoftwareExperience : 6+ yearsLocation : San Jose, California, United StatesReports to : Chief Technology OfficerThe embedded software department at Sibros is responsible for the in-vehicle software stack, developing highly reliable software that can be easily deployed on a wide range of hardware, operating systems, and vehicle architectures.As a tech lead on the embedded software team you will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects through the entire software development lifecycle, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, and solving complex and impactful problems for connected vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on coding with leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.What you'll do:

• Lead cross-functional projects to solve complex, high-impact technical challenges.
• Design, implement, review, test, and deliver embedded software to accelerate the industry's transition to connected software defined vehicles.
• Provide technical mentorship to team members, fostering growth and best practices.
• Identify and execute improvements to code quality, design, and development processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and meet deadlines.What you should know:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
  • 6+ years of experience developing production-quality embedded software
  • Proficient in C++ on Linux/POSIX based systems
  • Experience with modern development practices: Agile, Git, unit testing, static analysis, and code reviews.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience mentoring team members and advancing development best practices.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with C and Python
    • Familiar with automotive networking and protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDS, SOME/IP, etc.)
    • Experience with IoT technologies and concepts (MQTT, gRPC, HTTPS, security, OTA software updates, telemetry, etc.)
    • Knowledge of development tools such as Bazel, Git, JIRA, Confluence, and Google TestWhat we offer:

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
