Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California
building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with
a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We
are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric
aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal

- Apply knowledge of electrical components, interiors, systems
integration or structural assembly and installation to collaborate
and influence our multidisciplinary Product Design Engineering,
Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams in the development of a
new eVTOL aircraft.
- Assist on and off aircraft builds for electrical components,
interior closeouts, metallic and composite assemblies, wiring
harnesses, and/or composite secondary bonding.
- Support the Test Aircraft shop floor through Root Cause and
Corrective Action (RCCA), red line activities, continuous
improvement, and rework/repair instructions.
- Support implementation of process control plans to ensure
process capability.
- Conduct process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA) for the
production system.
- Support first unit builds, first article inspections (FAI), and
testing of the production system. Use your knowledge of industry
standard components, and Archer's various forms of engineering and
technical information (i.e. model based engineering definition,
process specifications, wiring & schematic diagrams, etc), to
develop the manufacturing Build Plan (line layout, manufacturing
work instructions, part flow, tools, equipment, precedence network,
testing processes, etc.).
- Develop specifications for tooling and automated equipment for
our Manufacturing Tooling Team to implement.
- Drive the Design for Manufacturability efforts with our Product
Design team.
- Review engineering design releases for manufacturability,
geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and complete process
requirement definition.What you need:
- 5+ years of related experience in Aerospace.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in related field in Aerospace,
Electrical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of AS9100 requirements and working under an FAA
Production Certificate.
- Willingness to look for alternative solutions and come up with
improvements for the installations.
- Must have experience using shop tools and calibrated aerospace
tooling.
- Understanding aircraft safety, tool control, FOD, and industry
standards.
- Experience working with composite material layup, secondary
bonding, and/or final assembly.
- Working knowledge of and ability to review geometric
dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Building and revising work instructions.
- Experience working in a product development environment.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google suite.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated
environment with adaptability to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as
part of a team.
- Great communication skills and a high attention to detail are
required.Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in related field of Aerospace
Manufacturing.Bonus Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IPC 610/620 & AC43.13-B.
- A&P certification.
- Experience working with an MES.
- Experience with electric aircrafts.
- Experience with high voltage wiring, batteries, and electric
motor controllers.
- Aircraft configuration management and conformity
