Position: SR Specialist, Planner Scheduler Maintenance &
Calibration
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Planner / Coordinator is responsible for ensuring
the smooth scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities
across operations, maintenance, engineering teams, and contractors.
This position plays a key role in planning future maintenance work
to minimize delays and maximize workforce efficiency.
Responsibilities include:Maintenance Scheduling and
Coordination:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance work to minimize
downtime and improve "wrench time" for the maintenance
workforce.
Coordinate necessary resources in advance, ensuring they are
available for efficient and effective work execution.
Manage and coordinate resources such as work scope, job
instructions, technical information (drawings, manuals), MRO parts
and materials, special tools and equipment, permits, and skilled
personnel.
Ensure all maintenance work is conducted in compliance with safety
standards and guidelines.
Resource Management:
Ensure timely identification and procurement of materials, tools,
and personnel required for each maintenance task.
Work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to
ensure the availability of special tools, equipment, and parts.
Oversee the preparation and organization of materials, including
staging and kitting, for maintenance activities.
Work Planning and Estimation:
Develop detailed work plans based on work requests and field
inspections.
Estimate required man-hours, cost of materials, and work
duration.
Ensure that work orders are accurately filled out and promptly
returned.
Review actual work effort, duration, and materials used, adjusting
plans as needed for future improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
Review completed work to assess its adequacy, identifying
opportunities for improvements in the Preventative Maintenance (PM)
program and equipment design.
Identify repeat failures and collaborate with operations,
engineering, and maintenance to resolve issues.
Update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to
ensure that preventative maintenance and corrective actions are
accurately recorded.
Equipment Efficiency and Maintenance Optimization:
Track and analyze the efficiency and lifespan of equipment,
reviewing historical data on corrective work orders.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to optimize repair or
replacement costs.
Storeroom and Inventory Management:
Ensure that critical parts and materials are reserved or procured
as needed.
Review and communicate changes in stock levels to inventory control
and maintenance teams.
Reporting and Communication:
Publish a weekly list of approved and planned maintenance work.
Create and drive KPI reports, analyzing maintenance performance
metrics.
Maintain regular communication with EHS, Production, Engineering,
and Maintenance departments, ensuring alignment on maintenance
priorities and concerns.
Work closely with Procurement to manage service agreements and
contracts.
Tool and Process Optimization:
Drive efforts to increase tool time and reduce equipment breakdown
duration.
Focus on minimizing production delays through efficient planning
and execution of maintenance tasks.
Education and Experience:Associate's degree (AS/AA) in engineering,
maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in
an industrial setting.
A minimum of four years of manufacturing experience, with a strong
background in maintenance planning and coordination.
Skills and Qualifications:Strong interpersonal skills, with the
ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management
abilities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, particularly in
emergency situations.
Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
(CMMS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Visio,
PowerPoint).
Experience with Oracle SAP, Maximo, and COMOS is highly
desirable.
Experience in managing time sheet approvals and sorting data for
KPI analysis.
Key Interfaces:Procure outside services and manage contracts as
necessary.
Collaborate with the Procurement, EHS, Production, Engineering, and
Maintenance departments.
Lead and manage Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (QDCI)
sessions.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50/hr to $53.77/hr.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
