This role will focus on all aspects of required field and office construction work.Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspections and complete documentation including daily reports documenting contractor labor, equipment, daily construction progress, project site visitors, non-conforming work, safety issues, traffic control, field measured quantiles, field discussions with the contractor and public, and daily project photographs, labor compliance interviews, etc.
• Coordinate with clients/owners, other consultants, contractors, materials testers and others involved with the project.
• Read and interpret Standard Specifications, Standard plans, project plans and specifications.
• Monitor construction for compliance with project documents including collecting and checking material tags and certificates of compliance.
• Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures.
• Inspect construction (based on Caltrans Standards).
• Communicate with project team members and provide recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Able to work nighttime.Qualifications
  • High school degree/GED or equivalent.
  • 2-year associate degree in relevant area is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, or 6-8+ years of general construction experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in construction inspection applications.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Valid CA driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.
