Day To Day Responsibilities

The job responsibilities for the Senior Engineer apply to both HVAC and Plumbing engineering department responsibilities.
Assist Project Managers to present and explain proposals, systems, findings and options to clients, general contractors and engineers
Work with Project Managers and the engineering staff to prepare or refine the project scope
Responsible for working with the Team Leads to go through the QA/QC process on their projects both at milestone dates as well as prior to Issue For Construction
May be called on to assist the Engineering Manager to help; plan, direct and coordinate the engineering activities of both in-house as well as outsourced engineering teams
Assist other Team Leads and Engineers providing by supervision and/or technical direction (i.e., print interpretation, code interpretation, design intent, construction feasibility) to engineers, crafts, and/or superintendents to ensure work is completed in proper sequence
Provide feedback to the Engineering Manager with ongoing assessment of technical skillset, organization skills and productivity of junior engineers they are working with
Create ongoing training and development plans for each engineer as needed for their growth and development within the company

Must Haves:

5-10 years of experience in the commercial construction space.
Design-Build Experience.
4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Must be proficient in the use of Trace 700, AutoCAD 2023, and Revit 2023.

Plusses:

Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate.
BIM experience.
Prior experience with mechanical contractor or engineering consultant.
