Senior Developer (AEM Back End Developer)San JoseThe Senior AEM
Developer (Sr. AD) specializes in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
and Adobe Marketing Cloud products, focusing on designing solutions
and developing components, services, and tools within the AEM
development stack. As an expert in AEM development, the Sr. AD
collaborates closely with the Tech lead, content, quality, and
creative teams to optimize the authoring and publishing
experiences.With experience in content management systems and
experience platforms, the AEM Developer recognizes the importance
of continuous learning and adapting to new frameworks. The senior
AD is committed to building user-friendly, scalable, secure, and
maintainable systems that support the needs of content authoring
teams.You will:
- Mentor and guide more junior team members on best
practices
- Design and document effective technical solutions
- Validate work against the requirements
- Perform troubleshooting and investigation
- Provide status updates and interpret asks for execution
- Stay abreast of best practices and be a subject matter expert
on a given platform
- Develop and improve the onboarding curriculum for new team
members
- Support the Tech Lead during the estimation and designing of
solutions
- Support the quality assurance team in testing activities
- Be a source of expertise on platform development projects
(e.g., Adobe Experience Manager projects)
- Develop and maintain AEM components following best practices
for AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service
- Develop and maintain backend and content services (e.g., sling
servlets, sling models, OSGi components and services, workflows,
etc., for AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service)
- Develop unit test cases and perform unit testing
- Manage and develop the integrations between various systems and
the platform
- Troubleshoot issues that arise on the platform (e.g., AEM 6.5
and AEM as a Cloud Service)
- Manage and maintain the content deployment workflows in the
platformYou have:
- Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering or similar (a
plus)
- English proficiency (At least B2+)
- AEM Developer Certification (a plus)
- Ability to create architectural diagrams and flow charts
- Proficient knowledge of integrations and development of APIs,
AEM Components
- Proficient experience in platforms and content management
systems (AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service)
- Proficient experience in Java development
- Proficient experience in Java frameworks such as object
mappers, Sling, JCR, Guice, and Spring
- Proficient experience in integrating Adobe Cloud Marketing
tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, etc.)
- Proficient experience in configuration management (e.g., OSGi
configurations)
- Proficient experience in JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint Site
- Proficient experience in using and configuring build automation
tools (Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo)
- Proficient experience in HTTP protocol, UNIX shell scripting,
and networking
- Proficient experience in using code editors like Visual Studio
Code, IntelliJ IDEA, or similar
- Working experience with Docker, Vagrant, Chef, or Puppet
- Working experience with configuring web servers such as Apache
or NGINX
- Working experience with GraphQL (would be an asset)
- Working experience with development experience in AEM Universal
Editor, SPA Editor, and Edge Delivery Services (would be an
