Join Roche, where every voice matters.The Position2025 Summer Intern -Software EngineerWe advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love.We develop software for medical devices and healthcare platforms which contribute to the advancement of patient healthcare.This internship position is located in Pleasanton, on-site Role and opportunities:You will working within a software development team and responsible for the following:

• Developing software tools which provide insights about the platform
• Design and prototype an event stream for integration with platform monitoring tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the software development lifecycle
• Gain experience using industry best practices and toolsProgram Highlights
  • Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
  • Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.Who You Are (Required):
    • Must be pursuing or have attained an Associate's Degree.
    • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).
    • Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program).
    • Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
    • Must have attained a Master's Degree.Required Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering. Preferred knowledge and skills:
      • Passionate about technology and self-motivated
      • Experience with an object oriented programming language e.g. Java, C++, C#
      • Experience with a database technology e.g. SQL server, PostgreSQL, MySQL
      • Experience with a user interface framework e.g. Angular, React, or native technology (Windows, MacOs, Android)
      • Experience developing inside a Linux based environment e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, GNU/LinuxRelocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $45-$50 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
