Our team is 100% remote and we work with teams across North America, South America, and Europe to help them hire.Salary Range: $200,000-$280,000 base plus competitive equity.Full-Stack Software Engineer - Credit Risk (Fintech Focus)We're working with an exciting, high-growth fintech company seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to focus on credit risk. This role is perfect for someone with prior experience deploying machine learning models into production and collaborating directly with data scientists.As a foundational member of the engineering team, you'll help build the models and infrastructure powering the company's underwriting processes. If you enjoy building things from scratch, owning features end-to-end, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities

• Build the core risk models that power underwriting decisions, determining who the company lends to, how much, and under what terms.
• Own the entire process, from building pipelines and writing training loops to deploying models into real-time production code.
• Scale and optimize the underwriting service while maintaining low latency.
• Seek out and integrate new data sources (e.g., credit bureaus, fraud detection services, alternative data like social media, satellite, or street views) into production and training pipelines.
• Build infrastructure for data ingestion, model training, and deployment.
• Improve internal tooling used for financial underwriting and manual review processes.Minimum Requirements
  • Professional full-stack development experience combined with data engineering expertise.
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or ML Engineering in a production setting.
  • Proven track record of working closely with data scientists to deploy features and models into production.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and debugging distributed machine learning infrastructure.
  • Ability to design backend systems with scalability and future requirements in mind.
  • Experience building internal tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proactive attitude and a fast learner with strong problem-solving skills.Nice-to-Haves
    • Experience in fintech or credit-related industries.
    • Background as a founder, founding engineer, or in roles requiring close collaboration with the business side (e.g., forward-deployed engineer).
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in helping small businesses grow.
    • Experience with web frameworks like Django or Next.js.
