It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible - all while staying connected to the people around us.DescriptionAs a Software QA Engineer, you will work closely with the algorithm design and development team to understand architectural diagrams and utilize the information to develop QA strategies. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining manual and automated test plans used in the testing of computer vision/machine learning algorithms and applications. This also includes monitoring algorithm quality & testing result analysis, tracking bug reports, and driving them to resolution.Job Duties:

• Work in an automated testing pipeline (integration + system + functional + use case validation) driven by a Continuous Integration framework.
• Work with Continuous Integration tools (e.g. ATP, Jenkins).
• Work cross-functionally with numerous teams from a variety of disciplines across Apple, including hardware/software development, developer tools, design, QA, and project management.Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3 years experience as a Software QA Engineer.
  • BS in CS/CE/EE (or similar field).
  • Passion for quality and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven hands-on experience with manual testing.
  • Experience with computer vision/machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology, and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to describe and document clearly.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and groups.
  • Experience with developing, running, and triaging automated test suites.
  • Ability to investigate, debug, and triage difficult problems and independently work towards results.
  • Experience in maintaining and enhancing test framework in scripting languages (e.g. Python).Preferred Qualifications
    • MS in CS/CE/EE (or similar field).
    • Experience in test automation frameworks that involve HW & SW subsystems.
    • Experience with macOS, iOS, and Xcode.
    • Experience in the spatial computing space.
    • Experience in implementing initiatives across teams.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $205,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
