Software Engineer - Client Testing and ObservabilityFigma is

a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or
remotely in the United States.What you'll do at Figma:
- Enable Figma engineers to ship high quality and performant code
by building testing and benchmarking frameworks that catch issues
before they reach our users.
- Develop observability tooling to detect and root cause issues
in production quickly.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across the company to define
goals around automated testing, performance benchmarking (CPU,
memory, FPS), and operational health.
- Provide engineering teams visibility into their quality and
performance to maintain/improve Figma's high bar for product
excellence.
- Be a part of a unique engineering culture that fosters
learning, belonging, and impact.We'd love to hear from you if you
have:
- At least 2+ years experience building testing and observability
frameworks for web frontend, that are used by large engineering
teams.
- Experience working on client-side frontend technologies like
React, and testing frameworks like Jasmine/Jest/Playwright,
observability systems for error reporting, real-time telemetry and
analytics logging, working with build tools like Bazel and CI/CD
frameworks, working with cloud services like AWS, code coverage and
performance/runtime profiling tools.
- Experience communicating and collaborating regularly and
effectively with designers, PMs, engineers, and stakeholders beyond
your team (or org) to plan features and break down high level goals
into tasks and timelines.
- Demonstrated unwavering commitment for improving product
quality by building tools and frameworks for engineers.While it's
not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
- 2+ years of experience operating in a hands-on technical lead
capacity, ideally with multi-team purview.
- Have a track record for being able to diagnose problems within
complex systems.
- A passion for and experience with driving foundational
initiatives that improve product quality and internal velocity.At

DisclosureIf based in Figma's San Francisco or New York hub
offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated
below.Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on
factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications
objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills
and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of
role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range
is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For
roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is
localized according to employee work location by a factor of
between 80% and 100% of range. Please discuss your specific work
location with your recruiter for more information.Annual Base
Salary Range (SF/NY Hub):$149,000 - $350,000 USDAt Figma we
