You will work directly alongside the core product & engineering team. This position involves crafting engaging content that assists data practitioners of various skill sets, both proficient programmers and business users, in navigating using Prophecy for advanced data engineering and analytics challenges.Your experience in data engineering, data analytics, or business analytics will empower you to create clear, compelling instructional materials. With a knack for straightforward storytelling and a systematic approach to organizing information, you will champion the customer's perspective in a fast-paced environment.This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and enhance the documentation process at Prophecy, pushing the boundaries of conventional documentation. • Be a key player in advancing the next-generation revolution in Data Engineering and help build a delightful user experience for the user's end-to-end product journey.
• Craft clear, accessible documentation that democratizes complex technical knowledge, significantly enhancing user engagement and proficiency.
• Facilitate continuous learning and innovation by disseminating best practices and keeping documentation aligned with the latest industry trends.
• Instruct and inspire, fostering a collaborative community that drives the field of Data Engineering forward with creativity and efficiency.Ideally You Would HaveExperience
  • 2-3 years of experience in technical writing with experience in B2B SaaS companies.
  • 1+ years of experience working in ETL, data engineering, or data analytics space.
  • Proficiency in writing content in markdown version controlled in GitHub, building architectures in LucidChart, and visuals in Figma.
  • Proficiency in crafting compelling narratives about the product suite across formats such as user guides, product manuals, quick start guides, and video tutorials.
  • Basic coding skills & experience working with SDKs, APIs, or CLIs.Articulation
    • Impeccable English writing skills, with a strong grasp of grammar, syntax, punctuation, and spelling.
    • Ability to convert complex technical concepts into clear, simple instructions.
    • Skillfully adapt technical documentation to suit diverse audience needs.Collaboration Skills
      • Actively learn and test product functionality to inform accurate documentation.
      • Capability to collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts (including customer-facing technical staff, like data engineers) to ensure best-in-class and technically accurate content.
      • Leadership skills and experience in driving documentation initiatives and establishing guidelines and best practices for the technical writing function.Qualifications
        • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Communication, or a related field.Benefits and Perks
