OPPORTUNITY:The Field Payroll Specialist is responsible for
ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and timely.
Processes multiple weekly union/nonunion payrolls with more than
600+ employees including multiple companies. Supports multiple
areas in weekly payroll related requests.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Prioritize and process all timecards, corrections, and
adjustments from field locations.
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of payroll checks to all
site locations.
- Calculate and prepare manual layoff/termination/adjustment
checks.
- Process transfers to ensure checks print in the correct
location.
- Keep accurate control and distribution of payroll-related
reports and payments.
- Process an accurate transfer of the weekly costing and ENCE
transfers for all payrolls.
- Run Transfer to GL.
- Maintain and update rate changes for employees and process
retro payments if required.
- Input over-scale and special agreements.
- Set-up garnishments and 3rd party payments.
- Process terminations.
- Keep current on state and federal regulations to ensure
accurate compliance with payroll accounting laws, regulations, and
requirements.
- Process and set up credit union accounts and payments.
- Be proficient with in-house software and experienced in
downloading and transmitting report details.
- Provide training to subordinates.
- Assist in payroll-related month-end closing activities.
- Produce payroll reports as required for state, federal, union,
or corporate reporting purposes.
- Act as a resource and provide training as needed.WHAT YOU'LL
NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

- 10-key, light typing
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook,
Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing
priorities as necessary

requirements with a positive attitude
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for
the position
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team
player
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all
levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors,
clients, and othersWHAT YOU BRING TO US:
- Associate degree in Finance, Accounting or related
discipline
- Minimum 6 years' work experience in payroll, preferably with a
union employer
- Financial/payroll/tax related training a plus, either formal
classes or seminars
- Can be a combination of education, training and relevant
experienceTRAVEL:0%WORKING CONDITIONS:
- General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing,
walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted
primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as
fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noisy conditions can be present at the jobsite.

Range$27.65-$36.50 HourlyThe pay range for this role is what we
expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications
and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate's pay
can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and
