Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist to help us reach our goals.
Unlock your potential! Job Summary and Qualifications The
Outpatient Mental Health Therapist in our PHP and IOP programs
deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing clinical
services in a multidisciplinary team focused on psychodynamic
therapy, group psychotherapy, and psycho-education to patients
admitted into the Outpatient Programs. What you will do in this
Role:
- Conduct one-on-one and group psychoeducational and process
groups, focused in skills/resilience training and evidence-based
treatment.
- Develop treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings
and reviews on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate with existing outpatient therapy care teams.
- Assess environment and patient's safety status and
reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes
in the patient's condition.
- Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions
for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide,
falls, elopement).
- Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation
promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to
scope.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and
coordinate patients' discharge planning needs and readiness for
discharge.
- Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.What
qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Masters Degree - Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work-
REQUIRED
- 3+ years of therapeutic experience - Strongly Preferred
- Psychotherapy experience - REQUIRED
- Advanced Licensure in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPC,
or Psychologist) - REQUIRED Good Samaritan Hospital has been
