  • Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ER nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 3+ full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • 3+ years of experience required.
    • Must have experience working in a fast-paced, high volume, and high acuity ER.
    • Candidate must not be a first-time traveler.
    • REQUIRED: Candidates will not be presented without a copy of certs attached in profile package.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 7a, 9a, 11a, 3p, 7p (all 12-hour shifts).
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
      • Holidays: 2 out of 3 major holidays.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: ER (non-trauma center; approx 270-320 visits per day; busy days they see up to 350).
        • Number of beds: 62 beds plus hallway beds/chairs.
        • Ratios: 1 to 4.
        • EMR: Cerner.
        • Charge Nurse: Yes, both shifts - does not take patients unless absolutely necessary.
        • Nurse Aides: ER techs available.
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Pediatric zone available; all diagnosis from minors to critical care, CVA, STEMI, sepsis.
        • ER is broken down into two sections ER North and South; large amount of paramedic and nursing students rotate through; a triage nurse (3 during peak times) around the clock.

          • ALL MYJOURNEY MODULES NEED TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.
          • TRAVELER WILL BE PUSHED BACK IF ALL MODULES ARE NOT COMPLETED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
