An award winning medical center is searching for a strong, experienced Medical Surgical Assistant Nurse Manager to support join their night shift leadership team.
The Assistant Nurse Manager will join a well rounded team of healthcare professionals at a community medical center in the bay area. This 300 + bed medical center is known for its commitment to high quality patient care and is part of well known health system in California. The facility is a level 3 trauma and stroke receiving center.
The Medical Surgical Assistant Nurse Manager will join a leadership team which includes the Unit Nurse Manager, Nurse Supervisor and several Charge Nurses. The Assistant Nurse Manager will help oversee a well established Medical Surgical and Oncology unit. The Nurse Leader will oversee a wide variety of patients and will help ensure that their team is providing the highest level of quality care to their patients. The Medical Surgical Assistant Nurse Manager will work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team to help ensure that that the unit's day-today clinical operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Assistant Nurse Manager will help select qualified Preceptors and monitor the completion of their staff members' clinical competency requirements. The Oncology Assistant Nurse Manager will also demonstrate a high level of professionalism and utilize excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience serving as a Charge Nurse or Preceptor for over 2 years. The candidate should also have their ACLS certification and experience working on a Medical Surgical unit.
