Through initiatives like the Ai Summit, we are building a global, inclusive ecosystem that fosters collaboration, innovation, and ethical AI development.Role OverviewAs a Senior Business Development Manager at TechEquity Ai, you will lead our volunteer business development and sales efforts remotely, focusing on generating revenue through client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and market expansion. In this role, you will develop innovative sales strategies for high-impact events in close collaboration with our marketing, operations, and customer service teams, directly contributing to sustainable revenue growth and an enhanced market presence.This role is structured for at least 25 hours per week for a minimum of four months, with the option to extend.This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for individuals who excel in dynamic environments. While a volunteer position, it upholds the high standards of Silicon Valley's tech and nonprofit sector. We seek independent, resourceful problem-solvers with relevant experience who are ready to apply their knowledge and take on multiple responsibilities to support the team. Success in this role requires adaptability, initiative, independence and a willingness to step in where needed. This opportunity is not structured as a training program; it is an opportunity to engage in high-impact work, gain real-world exposure in a results-driven AI and technology landscape.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development and sales plans to achieve and exceed event revenue targets.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, including sponsorships and partnerships that align with our mission and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Event Marketing team to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives, ensuring cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Lead contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners to secure favorable terms and ensure successful event execution.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, using data-driven insights to continuously refine strategies and optimize revenue outcomes.
  • Mentor and manage a team of volunteer sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process for key events, ensuring that every stage-from lead generation to post-event follow-up-is executed with precision.Qualifications
    • A Bachelor's degree in Business Development, Marketing, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in event sales and business development, with a strong record of achieving sales targets.
    • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
    • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing sales teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sales projects concurrently, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and organizational excellence.
    • Proficiency in leveraging digital sales tools and analytics platforms to drive actionable insights and strategic decision-making.Preferred Skills
      • Working knowledge of using Salesforce.
      • Familiarity with digital marketing techniques and online client engagement strategies.
