The features your team builds will be highly visible to both internal and external stakeholders and will directly impact the growth of the company by providing a state-of-the-art platform and measurement capabilities to enable our product and marketing teams to effectively deliver highly personalized and relevant marketing campaigns to the right people at the right timing with right content at scale.This position will be based in-person at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team by driving recruitment efforts, providing mentorship, and demonstrating strong leadership.
• Strategically plan, prioritize, and oversee project execution to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and other departments to optimize workflows and maximize the capabilities of the MarTech platform.
• Serve as an engineering architect, guiding technical direction, making critical architectural decisions, and developing technical roadmaps to align with business goals.
• Engage in hands-on coding and prototyping to validate concepts, expedite execution, and deepen your understanding of the codebase as you expand the team into a fully-fledged organization.Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in managing, leading, and inspiring a team of engineers, including hiring, retaining, and managing performance.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a software engineering role, with proven technical leadership skills and expertise in designing scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions.
  • Proficient in agile team software development and strong project management, delivering complex projects within defined timelines and resource constraints.
  • Adept at collaborating cross-functionally, communicating effectively, and aligning efforts to achieve common goals.
  • Passionate about technology, staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.

This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada's total rewards package.
