City, CA location:Manager/Sr. Manager, US Medical Affairs HIV
Treatment Strategy We are looking for a highly motivated Medical
Affairs Manager/Sr. Manager who is passionate about patient-centric
HIV care, treatment, prevention and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis
(PrEP). Candidate must be a self-starter with a proven track record
of success in prior roles. They will play a critical and exciting
role in helping the US Medical Affairs organization support current
HIV Treatment therapies and launch future HIV pipeline products.
The Manager/Sr. Manager will report to the US HIV Treatment
Strategy Lead and will work directly with the US and Global
teams.Essential Duties and Job FunctionsAs a content manager and
product expert, serves as a key contributor and knowledge expert
for HIV treatment and preventionIndependently manages projects
related to analysis of novel, emerging data and determine relevant
information to incorporate into medical content trainingsWorks with
the Global MA HIV treatment and prevention team to review, update,
and provide insight to Medical Affairs slide decks and local and
global HIV Treatment response documentsCreates US-focused medical
training documents as needed to support field Medical
ScientistsWorks collaboratively with Medical Scientists, Medical
Information, Clinical Research and Clinical Pharmacology to support
responses to medical inquiries and slide development for
conferencesProvides medical and scientific input on US Promotional
Review Committee as neededAttends medical conferences to
assess/gather relevant information and support activities related
to conference deck development and trainingCollaborates with Senior
Director to develop US Plan of Action and ensure alignment of team
activitiesSupports US and Global HIV Medical Affairs Advisory
Programs, as neededKnowledge, Experience and Skills MD, DO, NP, PA,
PharmD or other advanced health care degree1-3 years industry
experience preferredRelevant clinical experience in HIV
neededExperience in provision of medical information, slide
development, and medical writing and conference management
requiredExcellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
and interpersonal skills are required, with experience in preparing
budgets, misc. Excel spreadsheets, and delivering PowerPoint
presentationsExperienced with patient-centric care desiredCommitted
to continuing education to maintain knowledge baseAbility to
utilize moderately complex scientific resources across a variety of
different settingsAbility to work collaboratively and experience
working on cross-functional teamsAbility to travel to domestic and
international conferences which will include occasional weekend
travel is requiredAbility to flex and adapt as necessary in
response to ongoing growth and change within the organizationFor

range for this position is: $165,580.00 - $214,280.00. Gilead
considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation,
including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This
position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus,
discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may
vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
