mission of Homeless Children's Network is to decrease the trauma of
homelessness and domestic violence for children, youth, and
families; to empower families, and to increase the effectiveness of
collaborative efforts among service providers to end homelessness
and poverty.Homeless Children's Network is a community-based
organization providing mental health and family support services to
children and families who are homeless and formerly
homeless.Position Overview: The Program Director is responsible for
the overall planning, coordination, and management of non-clinical
programs within the organization. This role focuses on developing,
implementing, and evaluating programs that address community needs,
improve service delivery, and ensure alignment with the
organization's mission. The Program Director will lead program
teams, manage budgets, and foster partnerships with community
organizations and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management and Development: Design, implement, and
oversee non-clinical programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the
target population and align with organizational goals. Continuously
evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements to
enhance outcomes. Develop and manage program budgets, allocating
resources efficiently and responsibly. Ensure programs adhere to
organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the organization's strategic
planning process, identifying program growth and development
opportunities. Align program goals and objectives with the broader
organizational strategy. Monitor trends and best practices to
inform program innovation and development.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong
relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to
support program initiatives. Represent the organization at
community events, meetings, and conferences to promote programs and
services. Develop outreach strategies to increase community
engagement and participation in programs.
- Grant Management and Fund Development: Identify funding
opportunities and assist in writing grants to support the program
activities. Manage grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with
funder requirements and achievement of project goals. Collaborate
with the development team to secure financial support for
programs.
- Data Management and Reporting: Collect and analyze program data
to assess program effectiveness and inform decision-making. Prepare
and submit regular reports to funders, stakeholders, and
organizational leadership. Utilize data to support continuous
quality improvement efforts.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure programs comply with all
relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards. Identify and
mitigate risks associated with program delivery. Maintain accurate
records and documentation per organizational and legal
requirements.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed or Registered as a Marriage and Family Therapist,
MFTI, LMFT, LCSW, Clinical Social Worker, ASW or Psychologist
- Minimum 5 years' experience providing direct services to
children, youth, and families
- Minimum 2 years experience providing direct services in
substance abuse and recoveryMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in each program, deliverables, outcomes, budgets,
etc.
- Implementation of each new program
- Staffing and managing staff to outcomes/deliverables
- Full collaboration within leadership
- Clinical Supervision of two PsyD, MFT, or MSW pre-licensed
staff
- Experience and confidence in identifying and implementing
evidence-based practices
- Experience working in a crisis setting with individuals and
families
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Must exhibit leadership ability, have excellent written and
verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with representatives of government
agencies, community-based organizations and the business
community.
- Knowledge about diverse cultures and ability to provide
competency in working with youth and communities of racial,
cultural, ethnic, and sexual differences.
- Knowledge of computer software, particularly MS Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as an active team
member.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with social service resources
available for youth in San Francisco.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Courteous, professional, and able to reason logically.
- Detail-oriented and well organized.
- Able to establish and meet deadlines.
- Has a passion for developing and sustaining quality services
for youth and families, and a desire to learn and understand needs
of HCN's constituents, staff, and partners.
