Job Description:
A company is looking for a VP, Underwriting (Life Sciences) to
provide overall underwriting excellence and strategic direction for
the Life Sciences segment nationally.
Key Responsibilities
Drive implementation of strategic and operational objectives for
the Life Sciences product line
Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines and best practices in
compliance with regulations
Evaluate underwriting performance and collaborate with business
partners on governance and compliance issues
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a related
discipline
Minimum of 12 years of related work experience, including seven
years in management
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation
preferred
Senior level knowledge of the insurance industry and its
products
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related
software
