Relocation Authorized: National - FamilyTelework Type: Full-Time Office/ProjectWork Location: San Jose, CASalary Range: $119,780 - $182,670 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)San Francisco, CA Positions: A 10% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.Job Summary:The Cost Lead is responsible for directing the cost engineering, cost estimating, and cost analysis/control activities for the project. Will identify, analyze, and provide innovative solutions to cost engineering problems. Supports and promotes improvement measures and implementation of recommendations. Supports organizational and administrative activities related to the Project costs and performance metrics.Major Responsibilities:

• Prepares cost data and analysis for the overall program.
• Provide guidance, training and coaching to junior and mid-grade cost engineers with multiple backgrounds and experience.
• Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
• Prepare and coordinate monthly invoices and cost reports.
• Develops and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
• Interfaces with designated customer management for specific cost presentations.
• Organize, reconcile and participate in the recommendation of team actions for closeout of large to mid-size subcontracts.
• Reviews project work activities to ensure support of project milestones.
• Coordinates pricing structure or criteria to be used by each discipline or specialty to meet the objectives of the cost estimate.
• Interprets and executes policy, objectives, and standards applicable to cost control and cost analysis activities.
• Creates and implements measurement systems for given processes, analyzes performance metric results, and identifies improvements.Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business management or related field required.
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in project controls with an emphasis on managing overall project costs required.
• Experience in setting-up and management of Construction program cost through Unifier-Cost required.
• Experience and demonstrated skill in directing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis.
• Experience on large lump sum, EPC projects in a lead cost capacity or deputy lead cost role; rail works and large civil project experience is a plus.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Statistical knowledge of regression analysis of variance estimation and correlation.
• Skilled in providing direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
• Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
• Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
