Purpose:Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation
sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts,
components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with
design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes
recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or
existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for
coordination of manufacturing operations.Nature of
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tooling, process, product
documentation/process instructions required for the System
Integration in the fast pace environment.
- Develop Manufacturing Process Instructions with sufficient
details to support repeatable and consistent manufacturing
processes.
- Configure BOM's/routings in accordance with the product
structure, develop and execute validation protocols utilizing
IQ/OQ/PQ methodology, and submit related ECO/PCOs into Agile
system.
- Provide DFA/DFM feedback to customers and post build reports.
Train personnel responsible for product integration.
- Coordinate time study, line set up, line balancing/line
capacity and other process improvement related projects, and write
reports.
- Must be detail oriented, team player, flexible and self-starter
with strong interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written
communication skills in interacting with team members are a must.
The ideal candidate must possess the ability to prioritize and
execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrating
good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining
solutions.
- In concert with the quality organization, ensures that customer
requirements are implemented and met.
- Design the system integration lean line layout and equip line
with required tooling and fixtures. Support new product
introduction.
- Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication
skills, and be able to adapt quickly to changes, prioritize and
execute multiple tasks in the fast pace environment.Education and
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years related experience.
- Experience in "System integration" manufacturing engineering
role. Can do DFX on system builds. Recommend improvements to system
designs, conduct experiments and draft Build reports.
- Mechanical engineering background preferred in manufacturing
complex system builds in an EMS or OEM environment.
- Write "MPI" tooling for cost cutting, cycle time reductions,
cell layouts, DFX on system builds, interface with customer on
design issues and design improvements.
- Identify process gaps in manufacturing of a complex system
build. Conduct DOE/recommend new parts and suggest
improvements.
- Learn homegrown manufacturing execution software, configure
product flow, collect data and assist junior engineers in
test/manufacturing data analysis.
- Strong in SOLIDWORKS, Excel/MS Office/Agile.
- PCBA experience preferred.Salary Range (annual): $120,000 -
$140,000Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer
stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work
experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one
